The University of California Botanical Garden is a living museum open to the public featuring one of the most diverse plant collections in the United States. Established in 1890, the Garden's 34 acres contain over 12,000 different kinds of plants from all over the world arranged by region.

We are an outdoor museum with a unique collection of living plants.
As you enjoy your visit, please help us protect our plants …

Parking

Parking is available in the UC Lot across from the Garden.
Parking is $0.75 for first half hour,
$1.50 for one hour and
$0.50 for each half hour thereafter.

Tours

Free Docent Tours: Around the World
Every Thursday, Saturday and Sunday 1:30 PM.

Join docents for our Waterwise Gardening Tour and see the spectacular seasonal highlights of the Garden's unique waterwise plants. Purchase the Tour book at The Garden Shop.
Third Thursday and the following Saturday and Sunday of each month, 1:30 PM. Free

Organized groups must schedule paid tours by the 15th of the month prior to their visit.
